[Audacity-devel] Crash on Launch

Not had time to investigate yet, but
https://github.com/audacity/audacity/commit/545dbaf1cd17
on Linux with debug configuration crashes on launch.
The cause may predate this commit.

My previous successful build was

ca01b55d1b3944843816c2d51c79ef0a6be3bf5e is the first bad commit

I'm not getting this crash with Ubuntu.
Can you give a stack trace?
As that's my commit, it's most likely drawing/updating before
initialising a widget in the selection toolbar.

Try setting:
SelectionToolbarMode=5
in audacity.cfg

Backtrace attached.

Your backtrace was also more helpful than the one I got when I got the
crash to happen using your tip.

Having a now invalid SelectionToolbarMode was enough to prevent
launch in Windows release build too. I notice an invalid value is
now reset to 0, which is excellent.
