Just saw this and thought it might be of interest:
Vinux is a Linux distribution optimised for blind and partially
sighted, founded by Tony Sales, a lecturer at the Royal National
College for the Blind in Hereford UK.

Until now, Vinux has been based on Ubuntu, but according to recent
messages on their mailing list, they are intending to switch to Fedora
as their base distribution.
